Skyhawk Volleyball Goes 3-1 for Lincoln Land Tourney
Sauk Valley went 3-1 at the Lincoln Land Tournament this weekend.
On Friday they lost a 3-set match to John Logan by scores of 21-25, 18-25 & 18-25.
On Saturday, Sauk beat Lincoln Land in straight sets 25-22, 30-28 & 25-20. They then swept Frontier by scores of 25-19, 25-22 & 25-18. They finished the day by defeating Columbus State (#3 team in D-3) in 5 sets by scores of 26-24, 7-25, 25-18, 11-25 & 16-14.
Leaders for the tournament were: Aleah Wight with 71 digs and 5 aces; Lexi Greve 33 kills; Hannah Wilson 30 kills and 9 kill blocks; Juliana Rotella 19 kills, 28 digs and 6 aces; Jaida Dean and Hannah McCarty with 15 kills; Cassie Bushman 38 digs; Madison Craft 64 assists and Emily Shrimplin 54 assists.
The Skyhawks improve to 17-11 overall. They will take their 5-1 conference record to Galesburg on Tuesday to play 6-0 Carl Sandburg.
